Teenage weightloss, i need help.?
I am a 15 years old girl. I have weight issues. I can lose the weight however i gain it all right back. I have changed my diet and i have started doing the Seventeen Magazine campaigne, however i have gained the weight back. I dont do sodas i dont do junk food and i dont like red meat or pork. I am irregular but still healthy. I am 30 pounds overweight. I am 5 feet 9 inches and quite glad. I dont play sports right now but i will in the school year. I want to lose 35 pounds in the next 3 months. On the first day of school (August) i want to have a new body. I need this to be financially smart cause money isnt alot. I really need help because i am becoming depressed. I didnt always look this way and i eat from emotion. Please be real all bull aside.
I want to lose weight not just inches. I live in stone mountain georgia. Thank you. Please list steps like weekly plans or something going on in my area. No Fad DIETS and No DRASTIC stuff. Im in this for the LONG haul.
Thank you so much.
good to hear you are committed but saying it now and holding in 3 months are 2 different things.
i’d say first, set a realistic goal. 35 lb in 3 month is not that realistic. 20lb in 10 weeks might be better. losing weight takes time unfortunately. average loss is 1.5 lb per week. more than 2 per week is not healthy but you can do it if you work at it. exercise is good. don’t just set yourself up to walk a few times a week or something weak. you have to push yourself outside of your comfort zone or you will only maintain your weight. get your heart rate going and do some light weights at least 4 days a week. also try to include exercise in all you do. park far away, take the stairs and don’t sit in front of the tv snacking snickers expecting results. i suggest eating three healthy meals a day low in fat and sugar and in small portions. if your eating is connected to something else try to substitute. gum or peppermints? also reward yourself when you meet your weekly goals. not with food though, like new running shoes or a manicure, something to keep you focused but also makes you feel good.
and don’t quit when you reach your goals. keep up the exercise and healthy eating indefinately.
